The Two Subconscious Behavior Patterns

The Two Subconscious
Behavior Patterns

Emotional Pattern
Thought
Initial thought that sparks the emotional cycle.
Emotional Feeling
The thought generates an emotional reaction.
Physical Feeling
Emotions manifest physically in the body.

Emotional Pattern

  • Priorities: Career → Hobbies → Relationships → Friendships

  • Processing Style: Thought → Emotional feeling → Physical feeling

  • Rejection Response: Emotionals withdraw. They feel rejection in their emotions and thoughts, often denying it at first. They retreat to process through logic and reasoning before engaging again.

  • Interaction Style: Emotionals often take a step back in relationships. They think things through before acting, prefer to analyze situations and avoid putting themselves in situations where they are at risk of rejection.

Physical Pattern
Thought
A thought triggers awareness of the body.
Physical Feeling
Sensation in the body becomes noticeable.
Emotional Feeling
The cycle completes as emotions amplify again.

Physical Pattern

  • Priorities: Relationships → Children → Friends & Hobbies → Career

  • Processing Style: Thought → Physical feeling → Emotional feeling

  • Rejection Response: Physicals come forward. They feel rejection as actual physical pain and often push harder to reconnect or resolve the situation, because they don’t process rejection the same way as Emotionals do.

  • Interaction Style: Physicals lean in to connect. They act quickly, express themselves openly and often motivate others to meet their needs. They value closeness and connection above all else.

Understanding both patterns helps you predict responses, reduce conflict and communicate effectively in any interaction.
